I grew up religious and have done my best to “keep the faith” since. It has been hard to feel much Easter joy this morning. Covid is still raging, multiple mass shootings, racism all over.
I won’t be in church today. Not this year. No trumpet blasts or lilies around a fountain.
But seeing this man stand up for his kid — and all transgender children — is faith and hope. You’re right that God is with us even when it is very hard to see. Happy Easter!
